OUR IMPACT

The С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Farm Program grows food using sustainable practices and eco-friendly inputs for С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Public Schools’ cafeterias. To date, we have grownÌýover 100,000 pounds of produce on our farms,Ìýall ofÌýwhich haveÌýmade their way intoÌýhundreds of thousands of meals for students.Ìý

In order toÌýpositivelyÌýchange the food system,Ìýperceptions about food, andÌýpopulationÌýhealth in a sustainable way,Ìýthe Farm Program recognizes the needÌýto teach and empowerÌýtoday’s youth.ÌýBy participatingÌýin every aspect of the food-growing processÌývia a project-based curricula,ÌýС»ÆѼµ¼º½ Public School students becomeÌýagents of change in theirÌýlocal and global food systems.

Coming Soon to the С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Achieve Farm!

Ìý

Thanks to a generous donation from Green Mountain Energy Sun Club, during the Fall of 2022 we will launch our first Hydroponic Farm in Tarrant County at С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Achieve! This unit will supply 5 acres worth of leafy greens and herbs in a 40-foot shipping container, and will facilitate countless opportunities for the applied learning of STEM in the context of agriculture.
