The 2024 graduating class submitted over 22,523 college applications with over 71% of С»ÆѼµ¼º½ seniors being the first in their family to go to college.
My parents didn’t have money to pay for my college, but they wanted me to live my best life, so they encouraged me to get a college degree and help others. I am inspired to support С»ÆѼµ¼º½ because I believe every child should be able to go to college and not have to struggle like I did.
Being an С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Alumnus, I know firsthand how important С»ÆѼµ¼º½â€™s mission is and how much it can help improve our communities. When I donate to С»ÆѼµ¼º½, I am helping someone like me find their way to college.
I have always felt that you can make the most impact on the trajectory of someone’s life and the health of a community through providing access to a high-quality education. С»ÆѼµ¼º½ makes that happen every day.
I was raised by a mother that learned to speak English in the States and she always emphasized the importance of education so that we did not have to face her experiences. When I was first introduced to С»ÆѼµ¼º½â€™s mission and their passion for doing it, I wanted to be a part of it the way I knew how: time, talents, and treasures.
The culture I see when I walk into an С»ÆѼµ¼º½ school is that one of a winning team. Every player, in this case every teacher, every administrator, and everybody that works for the school or delivers to the school, knows that their whole mission is to help these children learn. That is why I support them.
As an С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Alumna and GiveMe5 scholar, I had a first-hand experience of С»ÆѼµ¼º½â€™s mission to get students to and through college. I want to pay it forward so that other students can achieve their dreams too.
If a scholarship helps an С»ÆѼµ¼º½ senior get the books, or the plane ticket, or the meals they need to make their college dreams possible, then my support is a great way to pay back all the gifts that I have been given.
I give because I believe that every child should have the opportunity to have a quality education. It just so happens that С»ÆѼµ¼º½â€™s path to get young people to their next chapter aligns with my own expectations and belief system.
